Alamo Area ColdFusion User Group February Meetup

This location is shown only to members

Notice the new date!! Per several of your requests, we're going to try meeting on the second Monday of the month for a while.

Haiti Relief meeting! I'm putting the ability to Donate on the RSVP page. Please consider donating if you have not already. All donations collected will be given to the American Red Cross.

In February, we look forward to hearing hearing about Building a Single Screened Data Management System with an Ajaxified Backend (Using ColdFusion, & jQuery).

Ryan Jeffords will be walking us through an example project using jQuery for the front end programming and ColdFusion on the backend. This should be a great example of how ColdFusion's strengths can be utilized even as we change the way we build web applications by moving much of the user interaction programming to JavaScript in the browser.

One lucky attendee will win a FREE ticket to CFUnited this year (Valued at $1049), Courtesy of Epicenter Consulting !

Don't miss it!

Our User Group focuses on Rich Internet Application (RIA) development with languages and platforms such as ColdFusion, Flex, ActionScript, Javascript and AIR. Generally we cover programming topics more so than design topics. We also focus on such topics as object-oriented design, frameworks, and other ways to improve your development process.

We cover a variety of topics and skill levels, so please join us!

Our regular meetings are held the second Monday of each month at 6:00pm at the New Horizons Learning Center off IH-10 between Medical and Callaghan. Check out our website for meeting topics and directions.

Epicenter is also sponsoring pizza this month. How does Rome's pizza sound for a change of taste?

If anyone has any question or concerns about the ColdFusion + jQuery lecture, please feel free to contact me at rjeffords@me.com. I wish we had more time to further dissect the code, but it just wasn't in the cards for us. At any rate, I hope everyone enjoyed and please forward me any questions or concerns.
